Winfield Community Volunteer Department was awarded the Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) grant from Maryland Department of Natural Resources. With this grant WCVFD was able to improve our wildland firefighting capabilities by purchasing 1,400’ of forest hose line, 4 forestry nozzles, two Stihl chainsaws, and a utility trailer to haul our John Deere Gator which can be used to access remote areas transporting equipment and personnel.
