Members of both Winfield and Mt. Airy Fire Departments participated in a fire training drill during the evening of December 19th. The drill included multiple scenarios that practiced Rapid Intervention Team, Mayday and Search and Rescue techniques. Scenarios included breaching a wall to rescue a trapped firefighter, simulated ceiling collapse (photo), and search and rescue in a "pack rat room."
