On Sunday September 11, 2011, the Carroll County Government and the CCVESA joined together to honor those that perished on 9-11. The 10 year anniversary was very well attended. All 14 fire companies were represented with Tower 3 and Tower 12 holding the American Flag between them. The ceremony started with the Westminster Band followed by three of the present County Commissioners giving their speeches. Next a small service was given by Deacon Charles Barnhart where three ceremonial wreaths were laid for each of the tragic events that occured that day. When the service ended, all of the emergency personnel stood at attention and gave a salute to honor all of the fallen emergency workers, for their bravery, heroism and dedication.
