| The 2011/2012 Winfield Fire Prevention Queens were named last night following the annual queen contest at the carnival. The winners for this year are:
Miss Winfield - Stacie Jaret
Junior Miss Winfield - Natalie Wilson
Little Miss Winfield - Laurie Logue-Ruckman
Congratulations to all of the contestants for a job well done. The young ladies demonstrated their fire prevention knowledge with an oral interview, a presentation and then answered fire prevention questions on the stage in front of a large crowd.
Thanks to our judges, Peggy Webb and Dennis Beard. Also thanks to Miss Jennifer Barciz, Maryland State Fireman's Association Fire Prevention Queen for emceeing the contest.
Don't forget there are five more nights of the carnival. Tonight (Tuesday) its the Giant Fireman's Parade at 7PM and the country sounds of Jay Henly and the Stone Broke band. Check out the carnival page (Events/Carnival) for more information. |
