On Saturday July 9th at 18:13 hours surrounding fire departments were alerted for a Building Fire at the Bull Pen Restaurant at the intersection W. Old Liberty Road & Liberty Road. First arriving Paramedic 149 advised smoke showing from the roof area. Chief 14-1 (Zach Schneider) arrived at 18:18 and established command advising the building had been evacuated. Crews from Winfield's Engine 142 and Sykesville's Tower 12 confirmed the fire had been confined to the chimney. Crews worked together to extinguish the fire without damage to the structure. Units went in service at 18:47 hours.
