Following an early morning Rescue, Winfield Crews were back in action at 7:33 a.m. responding to a reported house fire in the 7400 Block of Spout Hill Road in downtown Sykesville. Howard County Chief 3 was first to arrive reporting a "Working House Fire" will heavy smoke showing. Captain 12-1 (Brian Ludwig) was the next to arrive and established command. Engine 124 arrived and made an aggressive attack in the attic knocking the fire. Engine 142 assisted with fire attack, Chief 14-1 was the Safety Officer for the incident, Engine 141 performed overhaul, and Paramedic 149 was the Rapid Intervention Team Medic Unit. Winfield Units cleared and went in service at 10:18 hours.
