| On Thursday, May 8th, Winfield President Carl Broussard and Fire Chief Austin Johnstone went in front of the Carroll County Commissioners to obtain a low-interest loan from Carroll County Government. This loan will be used in the purchase of our new Tanker 14.
All fire apparatus are still funded 100% by your local volunteer fire departments. This low-interest loan will allow us to buy our apparatus up front while making low-interest loan payments for the term of the loan.
We are grateful for the support of our County Commissioners and the Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS of Maryland. We are expecting delivery of our new tanker in early June.
