House Fire on Woodbine Road

On Monday evening at 6:06pm units from Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company and surrounding stations were alerted for a reported house fire in the 7000 Block of Woodbine Road. While enroute Carroll County Emergency Communications Center advised there were numerous calls so Chief 1 (Lowman) requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch and Tanker Task Force. First arriving Howard County Engine 41 found fire showing from the front door. Howard Chief 4 (C McIntosh) had command of the incident. Crews from Lisbon, Winfield, Mt. Airy, and Sykesville worked to extinguish the fire and perform overhaul. The occupant of the home was transported by Medic 149 to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center due to smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
