House Fire on Henry Avenue

At approximately 10:10pm units from Gamber & Community Fire Company and surrounding fire departments were alerted for a reported house fire in the 100 Block of Henry Avenue in Sykesville. First arriving units found fire showing from the rear of a two-story single family dwelling. The residents were able to self evacuate from the structure prior to the fire departments arrival. A Rapid Intervention Dispatch was requested adding additional units to the incident. Winfield's Chief 14 operated as the Division 2 supervisor while the crew from Engine 142 assisted with fire suppression. Tanker 14 assisted with water supply. Engine 141 & Medic 149 were alerted on the rapid intervention dispatch. The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
