Mutual Aid House Fire in Woodbine

At 5:25 PM on March 2nd, Box alarm 01-41 was sounded for the House on Fire in the 7200 Block of John Pickett Road, bringing Units from Lisbon, Mount Airy, Winfield, and Sykesville to the scene. Engine 142, Tanker 14, and Duty 14 responded with a total of 9 personnel. First arriving Howard County Engine 41 advised they were on location with fire coming from the roof of a single story rancher. The Rapid Intervention Dispatch was sounded alerting additional units to the scene. E142 arrived on location as the 3rd arriving Engine Company and immediately reported to the scene to complete primary and secondary searches as well as opening up ceilings and assisting in extinguishing the rest of the fire. Tanker 14 arrived and supplied water to the scene as well as acting as the Water supply officer. Duty 14 assisted Command throughout the incident. Crews operated on scene for Approximately 2 hours.

Also while this incident was occurring Engine 141 with a crew handled several other incidents in the area including another Box alarm assignment in Howard County, a Vehicle collision, and a couple first responder calls.
