On Saturday evening at 4:59p.m. firefighters from Frederick and Carroll Counties were alerted for a house fire in the 14600 Block of Peddicord Road. First arriving units encountered heavy fire conditions. Winfield's Engine 142 was the third arriving engine and extended a hand line to the extinguish the adjacent shed/woodshop then worked on extinguishing the woods fire that was extending to the neighboring property. Engine 141 arrived and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. Tanker 14 assisted with water supply hauling 17,500 gallons to the scene during a tanker shuttle.
