Early Sunday morning at 1:29a.m. Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company and surrounding departments were alerted for a house fire in the 2600 Block of Hoffman Mill Road. First arriving units found a house fully involved with fire and requested the Rapid Invention Dispatch and Tanker Task Force which added Winfield's Tanker 14 to the assignment. Tanker 14 hauled 7,000 gallons to assist with water supply. The house fire resulted in one fatality and is under investigation with the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
