On Thursday morning June 16th at 2:24a.m. units from Westminster, Reese, Gamber and New Windsor fire departments were dispatched for a house fire in the 600 Block of Barnes Avenue in Westminster. Units arrived to heavy fire coming from the rear of the house and requested the rapid intervention dispatch and tanker task force adding Winfield's Tanker 14 to the call. The occupants of the home were alerted by smoke alarms and were able to escape the home uninjured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Winfield's Engine 142 filled in Westminster's station during the incident.
