Just after 0700 hrs on Sunday, April 3, 2016, Box 14-13 was sounded for a reported house on fire in the 7600 block of Morgan Road near the Carroll/Howard County line. Units arrived on scene to find a single-story, single-family dwelling well-involved in fire. A Rapid Intervention Dispatch was alerted and a Tanker Task Force was requested. Due the heavy fire conditions, high winds, and partial collapse of the first floor - a defensive attack was ordered. The fire was placed under control at 0925 hrs and all units were cleared by 1300 hrs. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fortunately, all occupants escaped without injury. Sadly however, several pets and livestock animals were lost in the blaze. The house was a total loss.
