Vehicle Collision with Rescue on Woodbine Road with One Heavily Trapped

On February 8, 2016 at 7:02 a.m. Winfield, Lisbon, and Sykesville Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue on Woodbine Road at the intersection of Streaker Road. First arriving EMS 14-1 (Chris Broussard) advised there were several vehicles involved, one driver heavily trapped, and requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter. Chief 14 arrived and assumed the command of the incident while the crew from Medic 149 & Engine 141 worked to stabilize and extricate the patient. Utility 14 established a landing site at Krimgold Park for Trooper 3 which flew the driver to Shock Trauma in critical condition. Howard Medic 45 transported a second patient to Carroll Hospital Center with non-life threating injuries.
