Vehicle Collision with Rescue on Woodbine Road with Two Trapped

On Friday afternoon January 22, 2016 just as the snow started falling Winfield Fire Department along with Howard Rescue Engine 4 and Sykesville Rescue Squad 12 were alerted for a vehicle collision with entrapment on Woodbine Road at the intersection of Bethel Road. EMS 14-1 (Chris Broussard) was the first to arrive and confirmed two patients were trapped and requested an additional ALS unit adding Howard Medic 45 to the call. Duty 14 arrived and Chief 14-1 (Tim Legore) established the Woodbine Road command. Crews from Engine 141, Rescue Engine 4, and Rescue Squad 12 worked to stabilize the car and extricate the two patients which were transported to Carroll Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
