On Friday September 18, 2015 at 9:12a.m. units from Winfield and Mt. Airy Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue in the 4400 Block of Roop Road. First arriving Duty 14 found a car vs. telephone pole with one person trapped and Chief 14-2 (M. Davis) established command. Chief 1 (K. Stull) arrived and was assigned the rescue group supervisor of Rescue 1 & Engine 142 which worked to extricate the patient. Utility 14 established a landing site for MSP Medevac which was cancelled and patient was transported by Paramedic 149 to Carroll Hospital Center.
