Vehicle Collision with Rescue - 2600 Block of Nicodemus Road

On Friday September 11, 2015 at 6:58p.m. units from Winfield, New Windsor and Reese were alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue reported two people trapped in the 2600 Block of Nicodemus Road. First arriving Paramedic 149 & Engine 142 found a vehicle in the woods on its side with two people trapped. Chief 14-1 (T. Legore) established command and requested additional resources. Crews from Engine 142, Engine 102, and Rescue Squad 9 worked to stabilize the vehicle and extricate the patients. Maryland State Police Medevac Trooper 1 was requested and flew once patient to shock trauma while Paramedic 139 transported the second patient via ground to Shock Trauma. Utility 14 provided the landing site at a farm close to the incident.
