On Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 8:08 p.m. Winfield & Sykesville Fire Departments responded to a vehicle collision with rescue at the intersection of Route 26 & Bushey Road. Chief 14 was the first to arrive establishing command and confirming a working rescue involving three vehicles with one trapped. Paramedic 149 arrived and immediately began patient care while crews from Engine 141 and Rescue Squad 12 worked on stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient. Two additional transport units were requested for the drivers of the other vehicles. Units went in service at 9:00 p.m.
