On Sunday September 28th at 10:41a.m. Winfield & Sykesville Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle collision with reported rescue at the intersection of Route 97 & Barthalow Road. First arriving Duty 14 advised there were two vehicles involved, one on it's side with one patient trapped. Chief 14 established the Route 97 Command. Paramedic 149 arrived and began patient care while crews from Engine 141 & Rescue Squad 12 worked to stabilize the vehicle and removed the roof of the vehicle to extricate the patient. Crews went in service around 11:30a.m.
