Winfield Comm. Volunteer Fire Department Juniors participated in the Carroll County Fire Department Junior Day on Saturday, April 19, 2014. It was a great day and opportunity for all Junior members. They learned about Auto Extrication, Controlling Bleeding, Ladders, Overland Rappelling and much more. It was also wonderful to see Winfield and New Windsor Fire Department Juniors for their first time working together. Having not met prior to that day; they showed the true symbol of the emergency services family, by coming together and doing what was needed to get their tasks completed. Even coming in as the 2nd Place Team in Donning of the Gear. Winfield is thankful to those that put this great event together to provide a special time for our next generation of Carroll County Emergency Services Responders.
