On Friday Evening April 11th just after 9:00 p.m. crews from Winfield & Sykesville Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 26 & Woodbine Road with reports of heavy entrapment. First arriving Paramedic 149 updated the location to the 4800 Block of Woodbine Road. Chief 14 arrived and established the Woodbine Road Command advising a single truck vs. tree with no entrapment . Engine 141, Duty 14, and Rescue Squad 12 assisted on the scene. The driver did not survive the crash. Station 14 units remained on the scene until after midnight assisting the Carroll County Sheriffs Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
