On Saturday March 15th at 1:45 p.m. Firefighters from Sykesville & Winfield Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at the Wendy's restaurant in Eldersburg. Sykesville's Engine 124 was the first to arrive with smoke showing and quickly brought the fire under control and limited it to the exterior of the building. Winfield's Engine 142 arrived and laid 600' of supply line from a hydrant on Liberty Road to the incident scene and assisted with interior operations.
