On Tuesday Evening March 5th at 5:45 p.m. Firefighters from Winfield, Lisbon, and Sykesville were alerted for a shed fire in the 5600 Block of Woodbine Road. While enroute units were advised the shed was fully involved and had spread to adjacent trees, fence, vehicle, and other items. At that time the call was upgraded to a box alarm assignment adding additional crews from Mt. Airy, New Windsor, and Westminster. First arriving Engine 142 found a shed fully involved with multiple exposure issues. Chief 14 established the Woodbine Road Command and crews quickly made an aggressive attack on the fire. Tanker 14 arrived and provided water supply for the incident. Howard Engine 42 arrived and pulled a second hand line protecting the exposures. Engine 12 provided foam to assist with eliminating rekindle. Tower 12 worked on overhaul operations. Crews went in service at just after 7:00 p.m.
