Winfield units assisted Mount Airy on a House Fire earlier this morning. At 05:59 hours, units were dispatched for a reported house fire in the 7900 block of Dogwood Drive (Box 1-2). Captain 1 arrived on location with fire showing from Side Charlie (rear) and the Rapid Intervention Dispatch was added. A Tanker Task Force was added shortly in the non-hydrant area. Tanker 14 was part of the first alarm dispatch and supplied water as part of the Tanker shuttle, Engine 142 was part of the Rapid Intervention Dispatch and assisted at the scene, and Engine 141 was part of the Tanker Task Force and operated the fill site at a hydrant on Ridgeside Court. Units operated on the scene for about two hours and the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
