On December 11, 2011, the Winfield VFD took delivery of Cecil Counties Safety House. The house cost us $5500.00. It is in need of refurbishing and we are asking community businesses and organizations to step up and assist us with this project. The Ladies Auxiliary to the WCVFD will also be assisting with the project, as well as our members.

This is a very exciting time for the department since we will now have our own safety house. We will be able to teach our children at Linton Springs and Winfield Elementary Schools home fire safety lessons. This cirriculum was approved by the Carroll County Board of Education, and the Principal at both of our schools has approved the program to be utilized in their school.

If your business or organization would like to contribute to this worthwhile project please contact Debbie at 410-795-1333 x336 or email debbiegartrell@comcast.net for additional information.
