| Winfield crews provided some long distance mutual aide today as a result of the high winds and several large woods fires. Engine 142 was dispatched at 12:21 hours to transfer to Damascus (Montgomery County 13) and covered the station for eight hours. Tanker 14 was dispatched and cancelled on two incidents in Montgomery and Howard Counties and ended up on a tanker transfer to West Friendship (Howard County 3) for several hours in the afternoon. Brush 145 assisted on a large woods fire on Indian Grass Court (Montgomery Box 22-9), south of Germantown. Brush 145 operated on scene for six hours and was responsible for saving several structures. |
