The Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to offer CPR/AED training to the public. Topics include how to identify sudden cardiac arrest, understanding the links in the chain of survival; the qualities of high performance CPR; the importance of personal safety and standard precautions; the steps to assess an unresponsive person; how to use an AED on an adult, child, or infant; how to place an unresponsive but breathing person in the recovery position; and how to recognize and provide treatment for a choking adult, child, or infant. This is a certified course through ASHI with a 2-year certification card.
Course Requirements
Participation in this course will require completion of an online training program as well as an in-person session. The online portion must be completed prior to the classroom session. The classroom session will take place on the date and time of this event. Additional details regarding the online portion will be provided directly to those registered. Course Registration Fee
If you live in Winfield Fire Department's Service area, the course is free. If you live outside the service area, a donation of $15 is requested to cover the cost of the materials.
The equipment will be 1:1 ratio to students, and cleaned before and after each use.
