At 2:30 PM on September 4th, units from Winfield and Sykesville were alerted for a Vehicle Collision with Entrapment on Route 97 in the area of Buckhorn Road. Units arrived to find a 2 vehicle MVC with 1 patient still trapped in the vehicle. Units arrived on scene and began patient care, stabilizing, and extricating the trapped patient. Aviation was requested for both patients involved in the accident. Engine 142 established the landing site for Trooper 3 at Century High School where both patients were flown to Shock Trauma. Maryland State Police is investigating the incident.
