Big Snowstorm hits Winfield   By Assistant Chief Zach Schneider February 7, 2010   Winfield crews had to battle through the large snowstorm Friday Feb. 5th - Sunday Feb. 7th. An estimated 26+ inches of snow hit Winfield that crews had to contend with. Many thanks to all the personnel that helped volunteer and staff the station throughout the storm assisting with responding on calls, snow removal around the station to be ready for immediate response, and helping prepare several meals for the Carroll County Roads Department. Utility 14-1 got stuck opening up a driveway access for Paramedic 149 for a medical emergency off Woodbine Road.
