Members of the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department and several members of Gamber and Mt. Airy Fire Departments got together for an "After the Banquet Football Game" on Sunday, January 31st. The snow didn't allow for a fast paced game but did not provide much of a cushion for a "tackle". The blue team out scored the red team with a final score of 28 to 14. Chief 1 redeemed himself for being late and his poor kicking performance by scoring 2 touchdowns. Rumor has it that Chief 1 and members from Gamber are trying to steal plays for the time when they field a team against Winfield. The next game is February 7th at 10:00 a.m. against Gamber. Poor field conditions are expected, hopefully ground crews can allow the game to be played since there has never been a cancelation.
