On Thursday evening shortly after wrapping up from assisting Sykesville Fire Department on a woods fire Winfield crews headed to Shirley Bohn Road in Frederick County. Both Brush 145 & Tanker 14 were picked up on a task force to assist crews on the scene battling a wind-driven large brush fire that was spreading rapidly. Brush 145 assisted other off-road brush units extinguishing the fire, while Tanker 14 provided water supply, and Engine 142 filled in for Mt. Airy Fire Company. Units remained on the scene into the late hours of the night.
