On Friday October 27th at 3:22p.m. units from Winfield and surrounding fire departments were alerted for a reported house fire in the 2800 Block of Lavender Court. First arriving Medic 149 advised heavy smoke showing from the rear of a two story house. A Rapid Intervention Dispatch was requested. Crews worked to extinguish the fire which was contained to the rear of the house. It was determined the fire started from a lawn tractor parked under the deck.
