At 3:15 PM Tanker 14 responded to Holbrook and Chapledale Rd for a large woods fire. On arrival they deployed a folding tank to assist with water supply operations and then assisted along with Engine 142 and other units to shuttle water to the dumpsite established on Holbrook Rd.

Engine 142 initially transferred to cover Station 12 (Sykesville) and shortly after arriving they were added to the call and responded to the scene to help with controlling the large area involved. The fire spread quickly and came very close to many structures, crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire.

Tanker 14 and Engine 142 hauled approximately 29,000 gallons of water, and were filled from an underground tank and a hydrant at Station 46 (Liberty Road).

The fire was declared under control right before dusk, crews remained on the scene to make sure there were no more hot spots and assisted with wrapping up hoses and tools. Units returned to service at 7:20 pm
