Early Saturday morning at 12:13a.m. Gamber & Community Fire Company and surrounding fire departments responded to a reported house fire in the 1100 Block of Pouder Road. First arriving units found heavy fire throughout the single story house and requested a tanker task force. Initial reports indicated that civilians were trapped inside the structure, however they were able to evacuate prior to fire department arrival. Winfield's Engine 141 and Tanker 14 assisted with water supply operations while the crews from Engine 141 & Engine 142 assisted with fire attack and overhaul.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
