On Tuesday, September 29 the following members attended the annual Mid-Atlantic Life Safety Conference that was held at the JHU-APL K Center: James Main, Kevin Warner, Tim Warner, Danny Warner, Jim Heckendorn and Debbie Gartrell-Kemp.

The all day event allowed us to choose from the following courses to attend: Boston Marathon Bombing, Infectious Disease, Community Risk Reduction, Highway Safety, Legislative Process, Ebola, US Fire Problem, Hoarding, Mass Fatality, Concussions, Social Media, Shock Trauma's Hyperbaric Department and Fire Protection Systems.

A total of 261 were in attendance this year.

Sherry Soper from Frederick County was named Life Safety Educator of the Year and the MALSC steering committee was presented a Governors Citation for their work on this committee.

Next years conference will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
