On Sunday April 5, 2015 at 4:24 p.m. Winfield and Mt. Airy Fire Departments were alerted for a woods fire in the 4500 Block of Roop Road. Engine 12 was redirected from thier transfer to Winfield's Station. Chief 1 arrived establishing command and advised there was a woods fire as dispatched. Crews from Brush 15, Engine 12, and Utility 14 worked to extinguish the fire.
