On Sunday September 21st Winfield & Sykesville Fire Departments were alerted for a vehicle collision with reported rescue at the intersection of Route 26 & Woodbine Road. First arriving Paramedic 149 arrived and advised there were two vehicles in the center of the roadway. Chief 14 arrived and established the Route 26 Command advising there was a working rescue with one patient trapped. Engine 141 arrived and quickly begun to stabilize the vehicle and proceeded to start removal of the driver's door. Rescue Squad 12 arrived and assisted. One patient was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
