On August 16th around 11:00a.m. Winfield's Engine 142, Tanker 14, and Command Support 14 were alerted to assist with a house fire in the 600 Block of Wilmot Ridge Road. First arriving units arrived to a two story single family dwelling with heavy fire conditions. Firefighters from several Carroll County Fire Departments worked to bring the blaze under control. The crew from Engine 142 assisted on the scene with extinguishment while Tanker 14 hauled several loads of water to scene from a nearby water supply source. Howard County Engine 41 filled in Station 14 during the incident.
