Early Tuesday morning, Winfield & Mt. Airy Firefighters were alerted at 2:40 a.m. for a vehicle on fire next to the house in the 4600 Block of Ridge Road. Chief 1 (Ivan Browning) was the first to arrive and advised there was a vehicle on fire next to the house with no extension to the house. Duty 14 (Lt. Mark Davis) arrived and established the Ridge Road Command. Engine 142 arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. Tanker 14 assisted with providing water supply, and Engine 12 assisted with overhaul. Units cleared and went in service at 3:23 a.m.
