Winfield assisted units from Gamber with an overland rescue in the Morgan Run Environmental Area off of Klee Mill Road today. Engine 142 responded with five volunteers to assist with manpower. First arriving units found a hiker experiencing medical problems more than 1/4 mile down the stream. Personnel carried the patient out via stokes basket through the wooded area, including areas of ankle deep mud. The patient was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
