Winfield Community Fire Department is pleased to offer a public first aid training. The ASHI Basic First Aid course helps students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. This first aid training program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid. This course is intended for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire to be certified in basic emergency medical care. Course Requirements Participation in this course will require completion of an online training program as well as an in-person session. The online portion must be completed prior to the classroom session. The classroom session will take place on December 15, 2019, starting at 9:00 am. Additional details regarding the online portion will be provided directly to those registered prior to the course. A certification card valid for 2 years will be issued after successful completion of both portions. Course Registration Fee If you live in Winfield Fire Department's Service area, the course is free. If you live outside the service area, a donation of $15 is requested to cover the cost of the materials.
